This class consists of gentle practices to increase body awareness, adapted asanas, breathing practices, pranayama, mantras, mudras and Yoga Nidra. The experienced students in this class learn meditation techniques.

The BASICS of YOGA and MEDITATION
New class starting on Wednesday the 15 January-5 February 2020.
Ideal for the beginner as well as for the experienced student wishing to review the basics of yoga and meditation.
When: Wednesdays, 6:15-7:45pm, one class/month for one month.

What you will learn: basic movements which focus on body and breath awareness, leading to simple asanas (poses), breathing practices which help us relax and focus, yoga nidra, a relaxation method which leads to meditation techniques. A simple mantra will be taught.

What to wear and bring:
Please wear comfortable clothing such as stretchy track suit bottoms. Yoga is done in bare feet. Bring your own yoga mat. You may temporarily borrow a mat and blanket to start with if you don’t have one. Please bring a blanket for the relaxation at the end.
Avoid eating for at least two hours before the class.
