These are also called postures. These will help with flexibility, strength and balance.
The gentle yoga class uses gentle and safe movements (Pawanmuktasana series) which awaken body awareness and adapted asanas.
Group and private classes are planned according to the needs and experience of the students and follow a systematic progression. Awareness is emphasised throughout all levels of practice.
Pranayama and Simple Breathing Practices
These are useful to keep us calm or give us more energy. Simple breathing practices are taught before progressing to pranayama.
Yoga Nidra is a guided relaxation. A must in our busy lives and a preparation for meditation.
After two years, a variety of meditation techniques are added to the class.
All lessons are taught using a traditional and whole approach incorporating asanas, pranayama, mudra, bandha, yoga nidra, meditation, Hatha Yoga cleansing practices and yogic philosophy. Classes include chanting the mantra Om as well as other traditional mantras.
